Day Two: Charity Shop Update!

05 June 2009

It's day two of our mission to shop neutral with our Living and Giving pop-up charity shop that we've opened down in Westfield with Mary Portas. And fresh from yesterday's success, where we made a whopping £11,500 for charity in just one day, there was already a queue waiting to get their hands on some serious bargains when we opened at 10am this morning.

So what has dropped in store for you today? Well, we've just taken delivery of a huge box of bling from jewellery label Tateossian, with brand-new pieces that normally sell for £75 priced up at just £30, as well as a massive box of Swarovski goodies. Plus, we've just got off the phone with Topshop who are sending us – wait for it – a whole seven sacks of pieces. Then there's Margaret Howell, who've sent a box and four bags of lovely clothes, and Laura Ashley, who've brought a trolley load over too. Oh, and we're right in the middle of setting up our very own baby-clothes section, with fab little onesies kindly donated by all the Grazia mums (there's a lot of them)! Better get down there quick though, because we've currently got a big bunch of schoolgirls raiding the rails, on the hunt for a bargain or three to celebrate the end of their Geography GCSEs... Ooh, and EIC of Red magazine Sam Baker has just sent in two brand new pairs of Marni shoes going on sale tomorrow!

But, of course, we still need more and more of your donations. The shop is open until the 27 of June and the stock is flying out the door quicker than we can restock the rails, so send any clothes (designer, high street, vintage or handmade!) that you no longer wear, but that are in good condition. Find out how to donate below...
