London Fashion Week: the highlights!

26 February 2009

London Fashion Week is over for another season! And after snapping on our Canon cameras, snacking on Topshop sausage rolls and squeezing our feet into stilettos for six days of shows, we're back at our desks/on the flight to Milan for the next leg of the fashion circuit, feeling a little deflated. So to cheer everyone up this Thursday (and Grazia press day) morning, here are our personal highlights of the fashion moments we loved this LFW.

The Danielle Scutt Barbie chocolates were the ultimate pick-me-up while we were waiting in the PPQueue. Lily Russo, fashion assistant

The MGMT soundtrack to the Topshop Unique show – it was hard to stop myself jumping up from my seat and stomping down the catwalk with the best of them! Katie Jackson, website fashion assistant

Sipping my mug of tea from a trolley pushed by school dinner type ladies in aprons just before a corker of a Luella show. Charlie Miller, executive fashion and beauty editor

The front row at Twenty8Twelve: 'It Brits' like Matthew and Alexa, industry bigwigs Nicky Clarke and James Brown discussing highlights, and Sienna's dad canoodling with his current squeeze like a love-struck teenager. Brilliant. Holly Martin, bookings editor

The Ghostbusters theme tune for the Ann Sofie Back finale. It totally energised the entire fashion crowd after a long day and showed Ann Sofie's not afraid to poke fun at her collection, too. Hattie Brett, web editor

Richard Nicoll's lingerie detailing. Sexy but still really sophisticated and beautiful. Kay Barron, fashion news editor

Kanye West sitting by himself eating sausage rolls at the Topshop space. Catherine Nieto, junior fashion editor

Five pedicurists focusing on one model's big toe backstage at Christopher Kane. Sophie Ferguson Jones, shopping editor
