Emma Watson loves William Tempest’s futuristic Tudors

24 February 2009

Catching up with 22-year-old fashion darling William Tempest before his much-hyped show at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout was quite an experience. The room where the models were getting their hair, make-up and fittings done was SO tiny we have to give kudos to all of those who survived the heat! But William was, despite a few pre-show nerves, looking calm, collected and, most of all, excited. Rightly so, because his Tudor-inspired collection was brilliant. William told us he has always been into reading up on the Tudors and, complete with his own digitalised prints taken after a trip to Hampton Court, the runway saw a modern day twist on 17th century shapes with some amazing futuristic tailored pieces thrown in for good measure. Check out our video interview backstage with William below. Oh, there are backstage pictures for you to have a look at too!

A very patient Emma Watson on the FROW (she show started almost an hour late). How brilliant she's supporting the designer, who she first thrust into the limelight after wearing one of his creations to a film premiere.

William's turn on the catwalk for the finale – so cute!
