Leicester Square's Hippodrome is hardly the most glamorous of locations normally but today it was transformed by an Ashish show that literally glittered down the catwalk. Harem pants glittering with sequin American flags, Swarovski beaded gloves, little black dresses emblazoned with Pop Art sequinned words... It was the like a bunch of 1980s workers had run away from the office and joined the circus. With singer VV Brown and her band performing a live soundtrack as the models stomped - those shoes looked a little hard to walk in - down the catwalk, Ashish managed to put the pizzazz back in a London Square not exactly famous for fashionable folk...
An acrobat swinging from a hoop in the ceiling on arrival.
The PR team in the audience all wearing hats designed for the show by Piers Atkinson.
VV Brown barely taking a breath as she sung seven songs in a row.
* Note: She told us while she was having her hair and make-up done backstage that the whole experience was freaking her out but that she loved it! 'I'm just a musician. I don't know about all this lipstick and nail colours and stuff!'
Zebra print wedge ankle boots.
Bright ice blue nails.
FIVE LOOKS WE LOVED:
Black sequin dress fashioned to look like a suit.
Grey sweater with tasselled shoulders worn with bright yellow giraffe sequinned trousers.
What looked like a Christmas jumper on acid with bight pink baggy trousers.
Massive pom pom hats. Especially the one on the big oversize geometric sequin cardigan.
A navy jumper featuring rose corsages, paired with green zebra sequinned leggings.
