Our favourite 90210ers (as in the original ones) were the inspiration for Henry Holland's collection (imagine floral cropped jackets and tight matching cycling shorts). Pictures of Shannon Doherty and Tori Spelling from back in the day helped Adam Reed for L'Oréal Techni.Art and Lucia Pica for MAC create the sunkissed Southern California girl look. Peachy blush was brushed into cheeks and across the bridge of the nose for a healthy glow, while lashes were heavily curled. Hair fell into a side parting and was sectioned into five large pin curls before being shaken out to give a ‘90s loose wave, so that models had just a slight kink. It gave us that we-wanna-go-on-holiday feel - and we really wanna see the new 90210. Thanks for sharing our obsession, Henry!
As for the clothes? Well they left the Grazia office divided. Some loved the out-there ‘Sex, Lies & Volleyball' collection, with its circular cut-away motifs, reinvented Levi's jeans and floral prints on everything from cropped jackets to dresses and swimsuits. The club kids decked out in outfits and accessories that almost stole the show themselves certainly whooped from the front row. It made the rest of us feel, well frankly, old. We're pretty sure there's a definite fashion tipping point when it comes to tight lame cycling shorts after all.
