Designer to watch: MEADHAM KIRCHHOFF

02 September 2008

Every season heralds Fashion Week and, while we look forward to seeing big guns like Luella and Paul Smith, it's often the newcomers who get everyone talking. This season, the name on everyone's lips is Meadham Kirchhoff. Edward Meadham (English) and Benjamin Kirchhoff (French) both graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2002. They originally created the menswear label Benjamin Kirchhoff, but soon went on to launch their debut womenswear label Meadham Kirchhoff for Fashion East in February 2006. Now that they're showing independently at London Fashion Week and are stocked at Browns in London (see gallery below for our favourite pieces and more catwalk images) as well as securing worldwide stockists, they have got our full attention! Their A/W collection contains a beautiful selection of floor-sweeping hemlines and layered lace shirts and tops, great tailoring and exciting knitwear.... so we can't wait to see what they'll be sending down the runway for S/S '09!
