Sarah Brown to throw fashion week party

01 September 2008

Ok, we're over worrying about what bag to buy for the London shows because we've just been invited to what looks like it'll be the party of the week. Sarah Brown will host an evening at Downing Street to celebrate 25 years of British Fashion on Monday 15 September. Of course, the guest list is top secret, but we're expecting everyone from industry legends like Sir Paul Smith and Vivienne Westwood to the new style elite including Giles Deacon and Jonathan Saunders, plus more. It's Tony Blair's 1997 Cool Britannia take two - only much, much cooler. After all, remember the last fashion bash Mrs Brown threw to entertain Carla Bruni? We watched everyone from Annie Lennox to the Queen's personal equerry chat over canapés, whilst the rest of the high-powered, high-heeled women just studied Carla's every move. A sweepstake's already in place across the Grazia office of what British label Sarah will be wearing - remember her white Jaeger jacket to Carla's Dior? Check back for all the insider gossip from the party.
