Grazia Daily likey: for the latest stop on her epic fash-tour of Canada, Kate Middleton has donned a pleated waist shift dress from By Malene Birger for her and Prince William’s visit to Yellowknife in the super-remote Canadian Northern Territories. The NT might be bigger than France, Spain and Portugal combined, but it has a population of just 43,759. Remote, sure. But just imagine the commute.
Kate opted to wear a 3/4 sleeve, silk and cotton mix linen-weave dress from By Malene Birger, the Danish designer who set up her own label in 2003. The dress is interesting choice for the Duchess, not because it includes any demented embroidery or Pageant-style cut-away sections which you can’t see in the pictures, but because it’s the first time Kate has been spotted in a non-British designer label. However, keeping it UK with her choice of accessories, Kate plumped for her favourite pair of LK Bennett nude pumps and Kiki McDonough Citrine Drop earrings. Seriously, this girl is GOOD at packing a capsule wardrobe.
Later in the day yesterday, Kate changed into a casual combo of J Brand 811 skinny jeans (available from Trilogy) and a khaki shirt, which she paired with her favourite off-duty Sebago Bela shoes. William then flew his wife (that’s quite sexy, right?) into the Canadian wilderness where the couple grabbed some down-time by cooking caribou stakes on an open fire and watching the region’s midnight sunset.
Love these two.
