Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrate Canada Day!

In the last few moments, Grazia Daily's attention has been diverted away from Kate Moss towards that other Kate currently on a fashion tour of Canada - why it's the lovely Kate Middleton

Recycling the white Reiss 'Nanette' dress which she wore for her official engagement photograph with Prince William, Kate has accessorised with bright red accents (as Grazia Daily predicted earlier) in recognition of the national celebration. Taking a leaf (sorry) out the Queen's book of stylistic do's and don'ts, The Duchess has opted to sport a very literal tribute to her host nation in the form of a maple leaf hat, in a bespoke design by Sylvia Fletcher at Lock & Co.

Kate also wore the Queen's maple leaf brooch (which some of us were expecting to see yesterday when she and William stepped of the plane in Ottowa). The Queen wore the brooch on her first official visit to Canada, when she was Princess Elizabeth in 1951. Together with the hat and brooch, Kate chose an Anya Hindmarch fan shaped clutch in red and gold, and red stiletto heels. VERY racy.
