It was a sad day for fans of rock'n'roll after it was announced that the Foo Fighters would no longer be playing the Friday night headline slot at Glastonbury next week.

After lead singer Dave Grohl suffered a horrific break to his leg after falling off stage at a gig in Gotherberg, Sweden, the band have been forced to take some time out whilst he recovers.

Thankfully though Florence And The Machine have stepped up and will now headline the first full day of music at the festival which is sponsered by EE.

An announcement on the Glastonbury Twitter account read: "We're very pleased to announce that Florence + The Machine will play the Friday night Pyramid headline slot, which Foo Fighters were forced to withdraw from yesterday."

Although some people will be pretty gutted that the guys aren't playing, we're still pretty excited about the whole thing. Here's why:

Kanye playing Glastonbury is like a totes big deal, we just hope that we're sparred from another of his rants.

Every year there are thousands of people bemoaning festival fashion but really, who doesn't want to see how Kim K accessorises her wellies?

Kate's been on fine form recently what with all that being thrown off a flight and swearing, we can't wait to see what she gets up to at Glasto.

If there's one thing better than spotting Mossy, it's spotting our favourite Royal having a laugh with all the "normal" people out there
