It’s one the biggest (and most celebrity-filled) festivals in the UK and this year it’s even more special because New Look Wireless is turning 10 years old!

This year there’s loads to celebrate, not only can you see some of the biggest stars over three action packed days including Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Jessie J, Avicii and so many more, to make sure this milestone birthday is a big one, they treated us to an extra day to ramp up the fun.

The first day of the four-day extravaganza saw some of the biggest stars in town to perform to the thousands of music lovers in London’s Finsbury Park.

Early on the main stage was American rapper G-Eazy who gave an energetic performance of his songs songs off of his latest album These Things Happen.

Chicago based performer Chance The Rapper put on a superb show, combining his sing-a-long raps with an incredible live band and his partner in crime Donnie Trumpet, who makes up part of his group The Social Experiment.

The night brought many wonders including a nostalgic show from Katy B, performing her beloved song ‘On A Mission{ =nofollow}’ and Broken Record.

Between performances the New Look Hangout area was the place to be, equipped with all the necessities for a fabulous festival experience. Hair stations for fixing those tussled curls or fishtail braid, make up stations for any touch ups and the all important pop up shop to add any extra festival accessories. Feather earrings anyone?

Along with a bar and cool photo booth, DJ’s throughout the day, DJ Fearney, Manny Norté and a special performance from iLL BLU kept a lively crowd entertained until sunset. If you like to party, make sure you get down there and check it out.

The finale of the night was Drake and he did not disappoint. Giving a show-stopping performance he reeled off hit after hit from his last three albums, performing all the crowd favourites and frequently changing the lyrics of his tracks to profess his love for London, even calling it his second home. You’re welcome here anytime Drake!

As the headline act not only did Drake draw a massive crowd of festival goers we also spotted some celebs in the crowd including Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock who looked very festival chic in a white oversized shirt and a wide tribal patterned belt.

As usual day one of Wireless was as absolute blast, and don’t worry if you missed out on the fun last night, you’ve got next weekend to look forward to with Nicki Minaj, Drake, Avicii, Kendrick Lamar and David Guetta.

New Look Wireless continues on 3, 4 & 5 July in Finsbury Park.
