It's that time of year again when you dust off your wellies, dig out your best tasseled dress and prepare for the excitement of pulling someone who looks a little bit like they could have been in Oasis circa 1994 (What? We've all been there).

But if you don't fancy tramping your way all the way to the over to the Isle of Wight or you weren't quick enough to bag yourself a ticket to Glastonbury there are a few festivals closer to home which you might want to check out (if you live in London that is....).

Born and Bred: June 6th, Haggerston Park

With Born and Bred festival the clue is in the name as they champion music born (and bred) in the capital. See what they did there? Playing UK bass, garage, grime and dubstep you can check out artists such as Wiley, Goldie and - the ones we're most excited about - DJ Luck and MC Neat. You know the tune "Do you really like it, is it, is it wicked? We're lovin it, lovin it, lovin it..." Yeah, we'll stop now. Tickets here: http://www.bornandbred.london

Found Festival: June 13th Brockwell Park, Brixton

One for those of you living in south London Found is back for the third year running this time heading to Brockwell Park in Brixton. This is the number one festival for those into house and techno with artists such as Guy Gerber, Alan Fitzpatrick and Davide Squillace all playing. Time to get your best raving outfits on, guys! Tickets here: www.foundfestival.com

Wireless: June 28th / 3rd, 4th, 5th of July

Wireless is back and it's bigger than ever this year spanning over not one, not two, not three but FOUR days. After Drake pulled out of last year's festival due to illness the rapper is back and playing on both the 28th of June AND the 3rd of July. Other artists on the line up include Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Rita Ora and Kendrick Lamar. We'll see you there. Tickets here: www.wirelessfestival.co.uk/

Lovebox: July 17th and 18th, Victoria Park

Snoop Doggy Dogggggg is the headlining Lovebox this year but if you needed any more reason to go Cyprus Hill, Jessie Ware and Rudimental are also all playing. If you don't fancy slumming it with the norms of this world VIP tickets are available giving you fast track access to the festival and - most importantly in our eyes - luxury toilets. 51st State: 8th August, Trent Park

A new one for this year 51st State will celebrate the roots of house. Pulling together the threads of this hugely influential sound, exploring garage, disco, soul, dub, dancehall and more. Basically it's the festival you'll want to tell your mates you're going to to sound cool. There are five different stages with over 40 different artists playing, what's not to love, eh? Tickets here: www.51ststatefestival.com/

**Ceremony Festival: 12th September, Finsbury Park **

By September you might be wanting to start winding down after festival season but not before you've headed to Ceremony in Finsbury park - a 360 degree celebration of dance music. Over 50 artists are playing but it's the special set from the legend that is Armand Van Helden that we're most looking forward to. Tickets here: www.ceremonyfestival.com

United Festival: 13th September, Finsbury Park

Ever wish you grew up in the midst of 90's rave culture? If so United is the festival for you. It's London's biggest dedicated rave festival, playing drum & bass, jungle, acid, hardcore and more. Yes, we did say acid. Make sure you get a good night's sleep the night before as the United starts at 11am. Now, where did we put our glow sticks? Tickets here: http://www.unitedfestival.co.uk/
