Today marks the launch of a mega exhibition of bridal dresses at the V&A. The display, called 'Wedding Dresses 1775 - 2014', is running until 15 March 2015 and features iconic wedding dresses worn by women through the years, from handmade wartime garments to celebrity gowns.
On display: Kate Moss's beaded floor-sweeper (designed by John Galliano), Dita von Teese's dramatic purple number, the Duchess of Cornwall's coat dress and Gwen Stefani's dip-dyed frock.

It's not all about the celebrity showstoppers though. Curator Edwina Ehrman told Grazia Daily that an iconic dress is one that's 'right for a personality and also reflects a designer's aesthetics'.
'Each dress is special to each bride and their family,' said Edwina. 'There are dresses from 'ordinary' people in the show and every one has its own unique story.'
In order to celebrate the exhibition's opening, we asked you to tell us why you fell in love with your wedding dress. You all had your own reasons for choosing your frocks - whether it's because it reminded you of your mum's, flattered your body or had a unique vintage design.
