Supper Clubs are a brilliant way of eating good food and having an evening that's guaranteed to be different from going out to a pub or restaurant. But the word 'different' is an understatement when describing underground pop-up restaurant Gingerline, who have taken on the guerilla dining trend and turned it into a cult London foodie-slash-art experience. Each of their events is 'top secret' (you apply, then get told where you are going with an hour or so to spare before the evening begins). And rather than just be invited to a venue, you get transported into a whole new world of interactive dining, whether it's a submarine in Shoreditch, a circus in New Cross Gate or a casino-royale themed evenng with cabaret, a wheel of fortune and roulette wheels of appetisers.
Which brings us around to the news that Gingerline are launching MI1020, a spy adventure themed night. Tickets (which are free) are available now, and the event is being held in collaboration with Windows Phone and is running for four nights only (11-14 December).
The invite goes, '‘Sleeper agents’ – members of the public – are being invited to join Gingerline’s agency of Superintendence and thwart ‘The Syndicate’ with the aid of the new Windows Phone, the Nokia Lumia 1020. This smartphone camera will be used to reveal clues, solve puzzles, root out double agents and ultimately bust ‘The Syndicate’ wide open. Those lucky enough to be selected will be directed to a meeting point before solving clues that will lead them to Mission Control. Here they will enjoy an evening of food, entertainment and secret missions.'
We're not sure what all that means, but it certainly sounds like fun!
