1. The Ritz Presents Les Arts De La Table

The Ritz Restaurant has finally launched its ‘Les Arts de la Table’ menu. If you're wondering what the devil that is, it's the 'forgotten art of table service' - something The Ritz prides themselves on keeping alive. It involves classic dishes which are presented, whole, to the guest before being expertly carved or filleted and plated up at the table.

2. Next Week Is National Picnic Week!

Don't bother checking weather though - we've already looked and it ain't good, we'd suggest at the least taking your umbrella along on your picnic or better yet, a marquee.

3. Kids Think Cheese Grows On Trees

In slightly concerning news, a new study's found that one third of primary school children think that cheese grows on trees. A further 1 in 10 thought that tomatoes grow underground and one third thought bread and pasta came from meat.

The worst bit? 1 in 5 under 11s thought the main ingredient in fish fingers was chicken. The clue's in the name guys.

5. House Of Peroni To Launch

This summer, the Italians are taking over London with the House of Peroni which sees two Michelin starred chefs - Christian and Manual Costardi take up residency for the month of July at 41 Portland Place.

Their experimental menu called Assagi - Italian for taste - isn't the only thing to get excited about. House of Peroni is also here to showcase the best in Italian art, design, fashion and drink.

6. Fruit Store's Prices Are Bananas

The latest weirdness to come out of Japan - Sembikiya is a high-end fruit store in Tokyo that sells super-special fruit costing all sorts of silly money. The cube shaped watermelon above? £135. The melons are grown with little hats on too - to protect them from the sun. Awww.

7. Send Hunger Pangs Heading For The Hills

Filling the void inbetween meals with crisps and chocolate? Why not get involved with Saviour Snacks and receive a super-healthy (and super-yummy) snack box to keep you going instead.

9. The Royal Horseguards Afternoon Tea Gets Makeover For Father's Day

Stuck for something to treat Dad to this Sunday? Why not try out the new Father's Day menu for afternoon tea at the Royal Horseguards Hotel - there's not a cupcake in sight. Honest!

Instead treat dad to a beef and Meantime ale pie, mini fish and chips with pea puree, smoked bacon and cheddar savoury muffin and a Casterbridge steak sandwich in the setting of their stylish Equus bar.

10. No-Fuss Recipe Book Gives Other Ways To Cook Everyday Ingredients

If your cupboards feature the same staple ingredients week in week out then this cookbook's should be right up your street. 11. Yo Sushi Make Sushi Burger

Next up in the battle of the burgers in the Yo Sushi. Their new burger range - which launches this week offers chicken, salmon, prawn, tilapia or tofu inside a rice 'bun'. The burgers come with daikon slaw and misotchup (ketchup made with miso). Oh, and they're totally yum.
