It's not just about the clothes you know. New York Fashion Week, famous for showcasing spectacular sartorial creations, is in danger of being taken over by an army of sweet treats. Namely, The Cronut.
It all came to a head early on. Victoria Beckham treated her showgoers to the tasty treats that have had New Yorkers in a frenzy for the past few months. Dominque Ansel - the baker who created the half donut/half croissant - has got accumstomed to customers queuing for hours to get their hands on his creation. The problem was - according to Dominque himself, the cronuts VB was serving were imposters. DRAMA!
It doesn't really matter too much though. The real Cronut has got its fair share of press this week too - with Opening Ceremony featuring them in their goodie bags.
Also popular? The macaroon, which has been doing the rounds both as a gift and as an afterparty canape.
