Don't like lager? Here are five beers to try this Summer that taste as good as they look. We got beer geek Tom Cadden to give us his top five suggestions.

Tom is the main man behind Craft Beer Co. which in Summer 2011 launched its first pub in the City of London in Clerkenwell. Almost 400 people lined Leather Lane to get a look at the premium hipster joint and it is still busy now. On the back of this success in 2012 a Craft Beer Co. popped up in Brighton, Islington and Brixton and now Clapham.

Tom tells us why us girls should be enjoying barley pop from now on. 'I might be generalizing, but women seem to enjoy stronger tasting beers than men,' he says. ‘Which is great as there are now a raft of new beers out there that cater for everyone’s tastes.’ Here are his suggestions>>

Craft Beer.Co is opening several new branches this year. Check here for details.

TRY-[a href="http://www.cantillon.be/br/3_1" target="_blank">CANTILLON[/a] KRIEK

Tom tells us, ‘This amber brew is slightly red in colour, tastes or of sour cherries and apples all together! Aged in old french white wine barrels they add 300g of fresh cherries to every litre of beer. Eat with cake so the tartness cuts through the sweet. We wonder if this counts as one of your five a day!?'

3. IF YOU LIKE BISCUITS...

TRY-[a href="http://eviltwin.dk" target="_blank">EVIL TWIN[/a] BISCOTTI BREAK

Tom says, ‘This big, sweet viscous jar has a caramel aroma. Roasted almonds, coffee and vanilla are added to give the beer its scrumptious flavour. At 11.5% abv its quite strong but fantastic with an uber indulgent pud like treacle tart or sticky toffee pudding.'
