Gross Out Story Of The Week: McDonalds Burger Looks The Same 14 Years On

When the amusingly named David Whipple bought a burger from fast-food giants McDonalds in 1999, he didn't expect to be still holding onto it 14 years later.

He originally planned to keep the burger for a month to show friends that preservatives within the burger would keep it from rotting. After 'forgetting' about the burger and finding unchanged it in a pocket TWO YEARS LATER (we don't want to know)  he decided to continue the experiment. Now, 14 years later the burger looks, smells and feels exactly the same. Gross.

Mr Whipple now shows the burger to his grandchildren to encourage them to eat healthily.

Cereal Lovers: Brace Yourself For A Problematic Few Months

Remember how depressing last summer was? What with the rain and the cold and the almost zero BBQ days that we had?

Yeah, turns out getting a tan should have been the least of our worries. After a washout summer the wheat harvest from last year proved dismal, a fact which has recently caused Weetabix to halt production on Weetabix minis and Oatibix Bites. For those not familiar with the brand, those are only like Weetabix's best two cereal ranges.

The company's ordered loads more wheat from overseas so they're hoping to start production again in two weeks. Until then however, get yourself down to Tesco and stock up. The cereal apocolypse has begun.
