Edible Playgrounds: Encourage Kids To Grow And Cook Their Own Food

20 November 2013 by

We like to do our bit for the kids here at Grazia HQ so when we heard about Global Giving's Gateway Challenge to help support Edible Playgrounds projects, we were more than happy to get involved. The idea is that children know where their food comes from by growing and cooking their own fruit and vegetables at school. Now, the Challenge is to raise at least £2,000 from at least 50 donors in 5 weeks between 18th November and 23rd December 2013. A permanent place on GlobalGiving.co.uk and a chance to gain one or more of the prizes will be granted once a project has raised at least £2,000 from at least 50 donors. The project that raises the most funds will receive a £1,500 bonus prize; the second place fundraiser will get £1,000, and third will gain £500. The project with the highest number of unique donors will also gain a bonus prize of £500. The Challenge runs from 18 November – 23 December and you can take part via the website, www.globalgiving.co.uk or by giving below...
