Skydiving or bungee jumping over the Grand Canyon might make for an impressive bucket list but sometimes, it's accomplishing the little things makes the most difference to your life. With that in mind, we've put together 5 feel-good, achievable tasks to add to your list...

1. Go on a holiday on your own.

Whether it’s Egypt or Cornwall, it really doesn't matter. Being totally and completely selfish for a week is probably the most indulgent thing you can do.

2. Quit a job you hate.

FYI if you wake up everyday with a knot in your stomach, if you have extreme Sunday blues - this may not be the job for you. And that's ok!

3. Cut loose THAT friend who makes you feel bad about yourself.

Sometimes the most exhilarating thing you can do is say goodbye to negative people. It's your life, why are you putting yourself through misery for fear of offending someone?

4. Take yourself on a date.

Yup, that’s a right a date with you. Dress up, splash your cash and treat yourself to all the things you normally reserve for someone else.

5. Get a totally new hair-do.

Everyone has a hair do’ they secretly want to try out, so just go for it. Change the colour, cut it short or get a fringe – if it all goes wrong, you can just grow it back. No biggie.

6. Try a hobby you've always fancied.

If you didn't join the Drama club at school because you lived in fear that it would mean 'social suicide' now is the time to shake off childhood nerves and get on that stage!

7. Splurge on a killer outfit.

Whether that's Louboutin heels or a Gucci LBD. You will never look as good in them as you do now. Trade a few expenditures and treat yourself to some timeless pieces.

8. Write a diary and analyse yourself.

It might feel a bit cringe worthy but even if it’s just for a month you might learn a thing or two about yourself.

9. Start another career from the beginning.

Unfortunately, you’ll be working until you’re at least 65. Don’t put off moving into another field just because you think it’s too late.

10. Be a bookworm.

Write down a list of all the books you really want to read and tick them off one by one. So satisfying.
