Having recovered from the multi-temperatures of fashion weeks around the globe and the slump of terrible downpours since, Grazia's Fashion Team have been rejoicing in the rather premature spring!
The warm sunshine (albeit joined by a chilly breeze) has seen us all flashing our ankles and adopting lighter coats and soft shades of greys and creams (well it's not a tropical heatwave). Some bare legs shone over the period but sadly they've gone away again... it's just too soon!
Shopping Editor Lily Russo,on the other hand (and always the most optimistically summery dresser), rejoiced in bright orange Zara knitwear. She shoulder-robed her grey Rebecca Taylor coat as the style savvy naturally do at this time of year.
Fashion Intern Sophie Hooper's sleeveless wool coat from Zara is another very clever outerwear solution as those temperatures climb (ever so slightly). Sleek, smart and perfect for the office over a crisp white shirt, it offers the seriousness of a mannish coat but with the lightness we all need in spring. Whilst Senior Fashion Assistant Sophie Bew's spring beige mac from Topshop is totally weather appropriate too: shower proof but not too bulky or hot. The loafers, on-trend skate shoes (a la Fashion Intern Hannah Davidson) and brogues are coming out of the woodwork too - seeya later hefty ankle boots!
Our Fashion Assistant Josh Newis-Smith chose a palette of soft greys for his two-piece Club Monaco suit, accessorised with casual tan leather brogues from Clark's. Tis the season for chic workwear - shedding all that bulk and embracing lighter, smarter shapes! And about time too...!
