Sienna Miller Reignites Our Love For Fancy Floral Head Gear At The 2013 Tony Awards

Thought floral headbands were reserved only for festivals and flower girls? Then think again! An ornate band of blooms is the red carpet accessory we're desperate to emulate.

Our love has been reignited by one Sienna Miller. The actress spent the weekend browsing floral crowns in a flea market in New York City with daughter Marlowe Sturridge and debuted her tress-topping headgear at the swanky Tony Awards last night. She paired her ornamental hair accessory perfectly with a strapless coral Burberry Prosum number. What a wonderfully whimsical look!

But Sienna is not the first to add a floral edge to a red carpet look. We've seen the likes of Keira Knightley, Dianne Argon and Katy Perry all step out with their up-dos adorned with feminine florals. And Kirsten Dunst won our vote during 2012 Cannes when she teamed a cream lace ensemble by Valentino with an ultra-luxe Dolce and Gabbanna headband.

A floral hairpiece is great for adding a quirky yet totally elegant edge to your outfit - so how to nail this look? With a simple ladylike dress or chic separates complete with a loose up-do. Go for a neutral coloured headband to add a subtle point of interest to your hair, or use the accessory to add a splash of colour to a neutral outfit a la Keira.
