Gift Guide: It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like (Kitsch) Christmas!

01 December 2013 by

On the first day of advent we are full of festive cheer here at Grazia Daily. And we can't help but notice that we’re not the only ones getting into the Christmas spirit. Indeed some of fashion’s finest designers have come up with Christmas-ready pieces – often with their tongues very firmly in cheek. Because this year to look cool for Yule this you need to throw your regular taste boundaries out of the window and embrace the kitsch.
From Markus Lupfer’s full–on sequin sweater to Charlotte Olympia’s jingle bell heels, a touch of Christmas kitsch is all you need to get your December wardrobe into the groove. Even J.W Anderson had a go with his December 25 sweater – more subtle than total kitsch we grant you, but certainly in keeping with the theme.
If the you can't quite stretch to the designer prices with the Christmas shopping list still looming over you, fear not, because the high street has also come up trumps with a host of kitsch buys that will help you nail ironic Christmas chic. So whether you plump for a Santa onesie, elf sweater or reindeer hat you too can get in on the fun.
And while you might not be wearing these buys all year round, you can reassure yourself with the fact that Christmas is sure to come at least once a year meaning that investment will come in handy for decades to come! So to all you Scrooges out there, it's time to ditch the disdain, and put on a penguin sweater....All together now....Ittttt'ssss Chrrrriiiiissstmasssss!!!
