Resort collections were historically the place where the wealthy went in search of clothes to wear when enjoying a spot of winter sun. Now, they bridge the gap between this season and next and buyers spend more than 50 per cent of their budgets on clothes that, increasingly, stand up in their own right.
We celebrate the rise of this season with our Big Fashion Issue, featuring a 20-page main fashion showcasing Resort of the world's finest designers. The latest Resort collections are part decadent '60s starlet, part androgynous cool. Think dreamy pastels and power prints vs masculine suiting. Trends include Hawaiian, nautical, stripes, neutrals, florals and safari chic; all of which are finished off with pleasingly clumpy shoes and ankle socks.
Some looks cater to the good girl in your nature and some will lean towards your inner bad girl. Our model Sophia couldn’t decide on who she liked to be more for our fashion film. But I’m sure you will agree, she looked good in everything.
