Watch out Jessica Chastain queen of FROWs, Jessica Alba is fast becoming a strong contender for the title. Upping her fashion week ante this season, we’ve spotted her at Valentino, Stella McCartney, Shiatzy Chen and Dior Haute Couture (Paris we love you). Whilst racking up the appearances, Jessica’s seriously impressed us in not one but two androgynous looks, stylish sophistication and front row fashion with a distinct oriental twist. So what’s her fashion week secret? Read the tips below to find out.
1. Simplicity speaks volumes
Jessica’s FROW wardrobe was filled to bursting point with simple block colours. Sticking mainly to minimal accessories and monochromatic hues (a trend reigning supreme this spring/summer), her white and black combinations were very simple but packed a powerful fashion punch.
2. Ladylike elegance is key
Paris Fashion Week was the city for FROWing celebs to show off their most ladylike of looks. Keep skin flashing to a minimum like Jessica, and opt for delicate pointed stilettoes or simple sandals. No sky-high platforms please.
3. Don’t be afraid of colour (or length)
Dazzling in a bright blue oriental style dress, Jessica added a splash of colour to the Shiatzy Chen show. Though the dress was short (a strategically placed jacket is the true sign of a FROW queen) she pulls it off with a black tights and an air of sassy sophistication.
4. Androgyny is sexy
Working an embellished black suit, teamed with a crisp white shirt and simple high heels, Jessica proves that androgyny is hot. Enough said.
5. Play with texture
Jessica Alba effortlessly worked double satin at Shiatzy Chen in a bright blue dress and black jacket, whilst Dior demanded velvet. Try mixing textures to give any outfit an instant update.
