Cara and a pregnant Chloe go tonal for sister Poppy's wedding [Rex]
It’s the age-old argument firelighter – no bridesmaid, no matter how dedicated to their bezzie, really wants to wear the exact same dress as their co-maids. It’s not simply down to the desire to want something individual, it’s the fact that not every style/hue/finish suits every bodytype or colourings. And who wants to spend an entire day feeling out of sorts?
A bandeau is a nightmare for big boobies, pastels not great on pale brunettes, a giant puffball would drown a petite girl… the list of common complaints goes on. So that’s why we were mighty impressed to see beautiful bride Poppy Delevingne allowing her sisters Cara and Chloe to wear something unique. Both options went together in terms of palette and mood, and yet they couldn’t have been further apart on the fashion spectrum.
Cara decided – like another famous sister duo you may have heard of: the Middletons – to choose white. It was perfect for the hottest day of the year and she’ll get plenty of post-wedding party-wear out of it during the summer, we're sure. Chloe opted for Victoria Beckham’s cornflower blue cloud dress – the voluminous one you’ll recognise from her Victoria off-shoot line that the designer herself wore a few months back in NYC with platform shoe-booties. Again, it’s a dress that’ll keep on giving – no one-wear let downs here.

US Vogue’s Lauren Santo Domingo took a similar tack for her wedding a few years, allowing her nine glamorous bridesmaid to simply stick to a power-pastel colour palette and a floor-sweeping hemline. Each girl was assigned a designer and was therefore able to choose the frock that felt right for her.
So here’s a shopping plan for all your brides-to-be out there. Choose from any of these dresses below and you’ll have a harmonious brigade of merry maids who want to be in your wedding snaps and won’t do the cheeky outfit change after a few vinos….
