The collection may not hit the shop floor until the 5th of March, but following the launch of Rihanna's first ever collection for River Island during London Fashion Week last weekend, were pretty excited. If you havent already seen [a href="/fashion/news/rihanna-for-river-island-collection-images--exclusive-teaser" target="_blank">the collection in full[/a], and [a target="_blank" href="/win/win-a-chance-to-meet-rihanna-and--500-river-island-shopping-vouchers">entered our competition[/a] not just to meet the superstar singer herself but for the chance to win a £500 shopping spree of the new collection the day before it goes on sale to the public, be sure to check it all out.

Now, Rihanna has already been spotted wearing several pieces from the collection including the black jersey vest and maxi skirt as she holidayed in Hawaii for her birthday this week, and we've already started our shopping lists ready for the 5th of March, but we asked Grazia's Shopping Editor Lily Russo to give her verdict on the collection and what she's hoping to take home with her...

1. Denim tie front skirt, £50

This denim skirt has to be the winning piece from the collection for me. Pale denim is a massive trend for summer and the pencil skirt style is super chic. I can see myself teaming this with a matching denim shirt and a pair of white leather courts.

2. Black knotted crop top, £18

Already seen on RiRi herself, this black jersey vest (also availabe in other colours) will be perfect for my holidays. I'll team it with the matching maxi skirt for a relaxed beach to bar look.

3. Black baseball cap, £25

A staple in Rihanna's wardrobe, this baseball cap is similar to many she is often spotted out in. I'll be wearing mine from the club to the beach and through to next winter too.

4. Grey and white varisty jacket, £120

Varsity jackets are here to stay, and this leather sleeved version that Rihanna slipped on after her LFW debut is fab. The simple style means it can be teamed with everything from a pair of boyfriend jeans or over a chic party dress after dark.

5. Yellow tie knot dress, £70

Rihanna and her costume designer Adam Selman (who co-designed the collection) have carried through the tie knot detailing in the collection (a detail often see in many of Rihanna's stage costumes too. The bright neon yellow of this dress is perfect for now teamed with a pair of flat gladiator sandals or stiletto heels.

6. Navy jumpsuit, £80

I've been looking for a jumpsuit to add to my wardrobe for a while now - and this one is perfect. The navy colourway and sporty vibe are exactly what I've been looking for.

7. Black maxi dress with thigh slit, £45

Maxi dresses can drown petites or look boxy on broader frames but Rihanna has nailed it with this style. The criss cross back will flatter most shapes, and the thigh slit means you won't be swamped in jersey.
