This week we were all sporting a tougher look than usual. This could be down to our uber-busy schedule whilst we work on our Big Fashion Issue, or perhaps we were donning our armoured transitional season looks, ready for the cooler weather, and the fashion weeks ahead.
Black leather was, as always, on-trend - in skirt form. Both our Senior Fashion News and Features Editor Katherine Ormerod and Shopping Editor Lily Russo wore fluted black leather skirts. ANOTHER flared black skirt was seen on Features and Culture Editor Morwenna Ferrier but this time in a robust neoprene teamed with a cool grey cotton tee and Nike Air Max's.
Lily Russo was riding on Morwenna's sporty wave with her tough ADIDAS by Stella McCartney bomber whilst Senior Fashion Assistant, Sophie Bew wore a grey jersey dress with plimsolls and sporty plastic clutch. Denim was another tough take on summer dressing in the form of Senior Features Writer Zoe Beaty's jacket thrown over yet more grey cotton (in the form of a t-shirt dress) and Fashion Intern Sophie Hooper's 90s blue 'Mom' jeans.
Meanwhile Fashion Intern Hannah Davidson teamed 70s summer with tough black via her tie-dye kimono with black jeans and loafers combo.
It seems flared skirts are certainly the way to work this weather and all the cuter teamed with slip-on sneakers (a la Morwenna, Sophie Bew and Lily Russo in her fabulous gold pair). Katherine notches up the office-chic in her strappy Manolos whilst Sophie Hooper plaid it cool in black Converse boots.
