1. Olivia Da Costa

'I like to have fun with boyish looks and absolutely adore Celine – but then, who doesn’t?'

Olivia has stuck to some solid winter essentials: a mannish but oh-so luxurious black Celine coat, black Acne boots and dark J Brand jeans – all excellent choices for puddle splashing and negotiating public transport. But there’s an element of pop: the cherry red beanie (go-to headgear of the season) that accentuates her cheeky Stella McCartney lip-print sweater. This Dali-esque surrealist nod is the key to seasonal escapism but there’s plenty of wear to come with Spring’s artistic outlook.

2. Stef Dadom

'I like to layer, layer, layer – it’s just so much fun to clash textures and proportions – it’s what is fun about getting dressed.'

As an aussie blogger, it’s great to see that Stef is a stolid supporter of niche online fashion labels. From her Lazy Oaf top and skirt to her Nasty Gal rings, she is a walking compendium  of up-and-coming e-brands to watch. Her own designed Windsor Smith platforms are OTT and mirrored by her giant Lilia coat, whilst bare legs and a strawberry print keep her look young and upbeat – even in the face of bare legs. 10/10 for bravery.

3. Lara Thomas

'I always invest in designer accessories and head to Zara and Cos when it comes to clothing. Simple designs have so much more longevity.'

An enthusiastic ankle-swinger is always a joy to behold - it's a happy look, celebrated by some matching black ankle socks and Autumn Winter 13’s fabulous plaid Celine sneakers. Lara’s soft oatmeal Cos coat echoes the avant-garde feel of the trousers: minimal with a whisper of off-beat chic. The fashion-forward accessories (a little Comme Des Garcons clutch and a Cos beanie) compliment the play-it-cool attitude of this outfit.

4. Ayhea Skye Matty-Sarat

'My style is quite boyish but I do like a mini skirt!'

Ayhea's Christopher Kane for Topshop tee (an oldie but a goodie) provides a gust of fresh air on a gloomy day. Refreshingly loud, the croc shirt is cranked up even further by her bright yellow alligator bag from Oliver Bonas - a witty touch that cannot go amiss. With some soft classics (camel coat from Joseph, simple black leather Gap skirt and classic brogues) Miss Matty-Sarat has played her more outrageous pieces with calm and cool.

How to be practical and stylish in these gloom-filled months and kick off the new season with a bang? This week's Style Hunter pack have adopted the adventurous. Click through the gallery above to see what we loved about our foursome's looks spotted out and about in London...
