Laura - Photographer

The Skirt Laura's nailed summer leather with this blue asymmetric Whistles number. You wouldn't think to layer over a long tee, but these proportions look fresh. The Bag While a tan bag is a wardrobe perennial, Laura wears her Proenza Schouler PSII with pizzazz when combined with fresh blocks of colour. The Slip-Ons Robert Clergerie sneakers tick the slip-on trend but bring a little something extra with the raffia texture, flatform stack and mint shade.

Pear - Student

The Cardigan The cardie is back and Pear's uber fringed number from Bangkok looks all the more on-trend thanks to her cold shoulder styling. The Accessories Think a backwards baseball cap won't work? Pear wears her & Other Stories one in low-key black and tilted far back to look no fuss and nonchalant. The Trousers These white roll-ups and a hint of midriff instantly summer-up Pear's all-black halter, boots and cap.

Shivvy - Stylist

The Jacket Black selvedge denim adds a clash of '90s grunge to the staple jean jacket. Shivvy keeps her casual Topshop outerwear chic with luxe leather. The Skirt How to wear a voluminous midiskirt for daytime? With a simple tee and Liberty x Nike Air Max. Easy. The Bag Vintage logo bags like this Fendi messenger, bring insider know-how to a simple get up.

Sophie - Writer

The Pearls Classical layered pearls adds extra granny glamour to this louche Annie Hall-esque look. The Sweater This cashmere creation has authentic borrowed-from-the-boyfriend appeal. The singular tonal palette is what makes this outfit of oversized basics extra special. The Trousers Sophie's wide, loose ankle-swingers are from Ralph Lauren. If effortless summer chic would be summed up in one item, these would be it.

The Coat - This bell-sleeved A-line coat is vintae Christian Lacroix - what a find. The silhouette is extra special when worn with this simple mod-style shift dress. The Bag - The studs on Jasmine's Alexander Wang Rocco bag bring a tough edge to a sweet look. Points for the double citrus hit. The Slipper - Loafers? Too hard. Ballet pumps? Too soft. Jasmine has wisely settled for properly posh slippers bringing a mannish lift.

The Shirt - For an authentic masculine touch, head to the menswear department. This oversized Zara Man shirt has genuine borrowed-from-the-boyfriend appeal. The Bag - Wear a long-strap bag like this Dylan Kain style on one shoulder (instead of cross-body) for a sleeker look. Black leather breaks up the sea of blue too. The Suit - Carmen works relaxed tailoring with effortless cool, thanks to the dimensions of her Hansel & Gretel suit. Wear a long, slim-fit jacket over matching wide-leg pants and - hey presto! - you've got the perfect loose-line silhouette.

The Watch - It's all in the detail: take a sharp white shirt one mannish step further with a heavy metal timepiece.

The Crop Top - If a crop top seems too girlish, try a rough leather version. The high-neck of this Bless'ed Are The Meek one is extra demure. The Jacket - Spring/summer '14 catwalks were awash with painterly brushstrokes. Dasha's sporty bomber shape tones down the jazziness of this print. The Shoes - Matching your shoe hue to a colour in your print is savvy accessorising, but especially in this punchy shade of yellow.

Akira Reid

The Super Hoops - The addition of these giant Asos earrings brings a new slant to Akira's tomboyish quiff and denim. They'll work just as well come holiday time. The 'Mom' Jeans - These high-waisted '90s-style jeans take no prisoners, but Akira has wisely kept her authentic retro pair on the loose-fit side of old-school. A skinny belt and turn-ups help elongate her already cracking legs. The Soft Trench - The perfect antidote to bleached denim and boyish sneaks, this soft, vintage trench coat adds a languid femininity. And makesfor a nice change from the classic tan mac.

The Devore Top - The high neck and velvet finish of this Topshop jumper are a great way to balance out the micro-hem of Monique's skirt. The Skirt Suit - This psychedelic skirt suit may look vintage, but it's actually from Zara. The flippy hem and snug fit of the jacket bring a retro fabric into the modern age. The Patent Boots - Continuing with her King's-Road-in-the-'60s vibe, Monique's patent Chelsea Boots give her a final flourish to her look.
