At New York Fashion Week the sidewalk is just as important as the catwalk. This season we are running around NYC to hunt out all the key trends emerging on the streets.
There is an extra challenge for the glossy posse this year, as the temperatures are icelandic. How do fashionistas make their way over the slushy sidewalks? In Nicholas Kirkwoods of course. A little snow isn't going to stop a FROW-er from appearing on the Satorialist. We've already spied a number of high stake tumbles.
The icy temperatures mean the FROW are giving good coat, as we've spotted plenty of wild super furry animal coats. The bigger and brighter the better - it's a great distraction from goosepimped legs.
So far ripped up jeans, badged and holey at the knees, are big news. While we've spotted beanies and pink coats at every crossing. The brave street stylers are doing head to toe winter white and skirts worn over trousers.

So how do you make sure your look is going to explode on the street style blogs? Cult blogger Yvan Rodic, aka Face Hunter, told us: 'I look for something unique; personality; I don’t look for trends. I search out that combination of beauty and originality with a hint of soul. I like photographs to have something different.'
