A Vintage Dress With Primark Coat Is A Masterclass In Layering In Today's Style Hunter

09 January 2013 by

Julia winterises her sister’s bohemian silk dress from the ‘90s by layering it over a simple turtleneck sweater and simple navy coat from Primark. Matching shorter coats with a maxi-length dress can prove to be awkward, but keeping the cut ultra-simple and in the same colour palette makes this lady’s outfit a master-class in how to do it. She updates the look by pairing it with laid back burgundy ankle boots and a cosy grey beanie from McQ Alexander McQueen.

Genna Louise Ingold (Thu Jan 24 15:26:51 GMT 2013): Your mums old nightie plus your dads suit jacket sounds more like kiddies dress-up than a style statement, but Julia pulls the whole thing off by keeping the rest of the outfit casual and carefree.
Megan Moore (Fri Jan 25 12:01:28 GMT 2013): Totally un-expected yet still works; boho meets masculine. Perfect!
