5 New Street Style Stars To Watch: From Irina Lakicevic The Dentist-Fashion-Blogger To Paris' Best-Dressed Buyer Elina Halimi
In honour of this week's Street Style special in today's issue of the new mag - where you'll find the freshest trends, brands, styling tips and new movements from the front rows of the international shows - Style Hunter has pinpointed five new faces (and wardrobes) you need to know. Street style stars don't fly across the sky every two seconds, you know, but these five ladies have proven their wardrobe nous and snap-ability repeatedly throughout the series of shows across Milan, Paris, New York and London.
You'll be seeing a lot of them no doubt - photographers were going wild, brands are calling upon their stylish skills for campaigns, editorials are being placed. Scroll through the gallery above to check out our hot tips for the season ahead.
1. Elina Halimi
As one of the coolest boutiques in Paris, Kabuki, it's no major surprise that buyer Elina Halimi has an equally impressive edit for her own closet. She first caught our eye in this sweet-grunge mash-up of chiffony plaid and applique florals from Dries Van Noten at NYFW, then sealed the deal with one of the most sought after tickets for A/W'13, Lanvin's slogo necklace. Hers says LOVE and that we do.
2. Eva Chen
'Editor, writer, shopper, New Yorker' is how Eva Chen describe herself on her Twitter account (@evachen212). She works for Lucky mag and has the kind of ultra-smile and spring in her step we'd expect from such a publication. Her wardrobe centres around black (especially with that severe but impressively glossy bob), but she's not afraid to switch up from cyborg biker girl one day to prom queen the next. We just love how very happy she looks to be there.
3: Irina Lakicevic
By day this Norwegian lady is a dentist, by night, well, spare time and fashion week we mean, she's a very well-outfitted fashion blogger and now firm favourite on the FROW scene. With a pout to rival the current duckface phenomenon on Instagram and a killer wardrobe of both high and low finds (we're particularly keen on that Prada shoe + Zara slip dress concotion, above right) it's no wonder she's picking up followers by the second. 4. Nicole Warne
The breathtakingly beautiful Aussie babe Nicole Warne is also known by her blog name: Gary Pepper Girl. Dolce & Gabbana love her, TV stations love her, we love her. Angelic features, a rocking wardrobe full of the best bits from Givenchy through to Whistles and skills that span from modelling through to creative consultancy make her more than just a big deal in Oz - she's going global, peeps.
5: Shiona Turini
Shiona, AKA US Cosmo's fairly newly appointed Fashion Market Director, has seen her fashion profile has been on the rise for some time now. Her knack for mixing street and urbanwear - like those leather basketball shorts above - with something as sleek as two-strap heels and perfectly blowdried hair is really something. Well, with her previous role alongside Carine Roitfeld on CR Fashion Book, it's no wonder this girl is so good at doing that laid-back kinda chic.
