Mischa Barton's Fashion Evolution
When you hear the name Mischa Barton you can’t help the sudden pang of nostalgia that follows, remembering the OC and her days playing the tragic Marissa Cooper. Although she hasn’t been spotted splashing around in the Californian ocean much of late, that hasn’t stopped stop Mischa preserving her golden beach-babe looks.
Known for her bohemian and edgy style, it wasn’t a surprise when Mischa nameed Shoreditch in East London as one of her favourite locales. It also happens to be where she set up shop, literally. Her new London store is dedicated to clothes and make up and obviously stocks her popular handbag range, which is in it’s eighth successful season. She may need to add entrepreneur to her CV, as plans are underway to expand the brand in Asia and the Middle East.
Despite donning the avant-garde, hipster look Mischa still knows how to dazzle the red carpet. The star glammed up for the Women for Women International’s 2012 UK Gala in a Sophia Kokosalaki white dress with cut outs showing off her enviable waist. The actress-turned-designer told Grazia that the influence for her style comes from books, films, music and travel.
As well as busying herself with acting, modelling and opening a store, Ms Barton still finds the time to party with the likes of Marc Jacobs attend the most glamorous events from the GQ awards to the launch of the Andre Borchers collection. Phew!
