French actress Marion Cotillard was born in Paris and grew up in a very creative environment, as her father is an actor, teacher, director and former mime while her mother is an actress and drama teacher. She began acting as a child in her father's plays, and has gone on to be one of the most successful French actresses of all time.

She was the first person to win an Academy Award for a role in French and in 2007 Cotillard won the full sweep of Best Actress awards for her starring role as the French singer Édith Piaf in La Vie en Rose. As she bagged the Oscar, the Bafta, the Golden Globe and the César Award.

Her style is elegant and demure, but she is also never afraid of taking a risk on the red carpet, such as with the scaled mermaid-esque Jean Paul Gaultier gown she wore to the Oscars in 2008 and the black and midnight blue Christian Dior gown with thousands of layers of tulle she wore to the Oscars in 2009. She has been spotted on the red carpet in gowns by Erdem, Nina Ricci and Jean Paul Gaultier but her heart is with Christian Dior. Bien Sur.

Marion is a senior face of Dior and has recently appeared in Lady Dior documentaries dancing in ball gowns and spinning in polka dots and she was the first to wear Raf Simons' couture collection on the red carpet. She never puts a fashion foot wrong on the red carpet, but then it would be hard to when you're usually head to toe in Dior couture. From classic pencil skirts to mounds of tulle she always gets it oh-so right when she's decked out in CD. Perhaps it's something to do with the fact that she has her very own Dior mannequin so that designers can make gowns to fit her perfectly.

Her best Christian Dior look? So far it would have to be the navy and white strapless gown with a satin bow sash she wore to the 2013 SAG Awards - Incroyable. Marion sticks to classic silhouettes, normally cut to the knee with a cinched in waist accessorised with simple jewellery and pointed courts so that the focus is just on the couture.
