Jeremy Scott's Fashion Evolution
Ball dresses created out of fans of dollar-bill printed fabric, donut bangles and cookie earrings, an entire collection cut from jumbo toile de joie styled with enormous pompadour ‘dos: LA based hipster Jeremy Scott like to make a single point in each collection then hammer it home. While his kitsch, cartoonish vision isn’t to everyone’s taste, he’s been able to put a smile on the faces of some of the world’s most solemn arbiters – the fashion editors.
Jeremy launched his womenswear brand in Paris in 1997, and was named “Best Young Designer” by the CFDA in 1999. Since then he has showed at fashion weeks around the globe. He’s best known for his collaborations with feisty pop stars like Madonna, Kelis, Kylie, Bjork, Santogold, Katy Perry and Beth Ditto. He was responsible for Britney Spears' futuristic air hostess look in the video for Toxic and Rihanna's denim bra + skirt for We Found Love.
Mr Scott has collaborated with sportswear giant Adidas season on season with sell-out tracksuit ranges and most recently, trainers adorned with wings. He also works with Longchamp on creating handbags.
