They like to keep their relationship private, but this week, both Cara Delevingne and St. Vincent took to Instagram to affirm their mutual affection.
In a series of posts, Cara posted three pictures of her musician girlfriend: two in black and white of St. Vincent looking straight at the camera, and one in colour of her apparently crowdsurfing.
Cara labelled the snaps with the hashtag #WCW, which stands for Woman Crush Wednesday, alongside a smiley face with loveheart for eyes emoji. She hashtagged the final snap: #oneofakind.
St.Vincent (whose real name is Annie Clark) in turn posted a picture of Cara, a photograph of her cradling a baby by the sea. The caption beneath read: 'Antidote to mourning'.
It is well-known the musician was a fan of David Bowie – indeed she Tweeted only last Saturday "Happy Birthday to my ultimate idol David Bowie" – so it is likely that the 'mourning' she references, relates to the tragic death of the music icon.
In July last year, Cara bought St. Vincent an Airline Twin Tone guitar which bore Bowie's autograph.
Whilst this is obviously a sad time for the musician, we hope to see more of her relationship with Cara, in happier times, on social media this year.
