Taylor Swift's Fashion Evolution
Taylor Swift doesn't just embrace a sequin; she drenches herself in them. On red carpets around the world, the blonde bombshell has become famous for sticking to her tried and tested recipe of a strapless gown + princessy twinkles + a golden hue, typically topped off with soft waves cascading over her shoulders. And that’s why she had designers like Elie Saab, Reem Acra and Kaufmann Franco on speed dial.
But in 2012, we saw Taylor's style mature as she emerged from her sparkling style rut. Gone was the glitz and in their place were retro-style tea-length dresses, skinny jeans and even - GASP - a minimalist white gown accessorised with poker straight hair and a brand new blunt fringe. We've also seen her wardrobe develop away from the red carpet. The country star is forever updating her style to suit every new beau - and there’s been quite a few. First it was all homecoming queen glossiness when she was with Joe Jonas in 2008, then she went matchy-matchy with Taylor Lautner before going all sex kitten on us when she was snogging John Mayer. Next came the low-key look when she was hooking up with Jake 'HOT' Gyllenhaal but our fave has to be the vintage vixen phase when she was snapped with Conor Kennedy in the summer of 2012.
Yup, T-Swiz sure knows how to keep us on our toes - and hasn't she come far since those teenage days of wearing brown knee-high boots on the red carpet? *shudders*
