Pixie Geldof's Fashion Evolution
While once stuck in the shadow of her big sister Peaches, Pixie Geldof stepped into the fashion spotlight when the modelling contracts came calling. With a daring personal style, the catwalk star relishes experimenting with her sartorial choices – often shunning high-end pieces in favour of charity shop finds. She also takes risks with her hair, whether dyeing it pink or cutting it into a super short ‘Pixie’ crop to match her namesake.
When it comes to labels, the party girl and front row regular chooses homegrown designers, opting for ensembles by Vivienne Westwood, Jonathan Saunders, J.W. Anderson and good friend Henry Holland from whom she has become somewhat of an unofficial ambassador. The designer revealed in a recent interview with Grazia Daily, “I always like the way Pixie wears my clothes – she has her own style. At the show this season she wore a whole look and I was really surprised because normally she’ll just wear one piece.”
Aside from items by House of Holland, 90’s child Pixie has developed a grungy go-to uniform of shredded jeans, crop tops and edgy dresses for when she’s hanging out with the fashion crowd including Alexa Chung, Nick Grimshaw and Daisy Lowe. While glamorous evening gowns aren’t really her bag, the crop-haired beauty has a talent for picking suitably quirky dresses for those all important red carpet events.
Whether she’s taking charge of the decks at a fashion party, traipsing round a British festival or holidaying with her fashion pals in an exotic location, this style maverick is guaranteed to sport a look that’s all her own.
