Miley Cyrus's Fashion Evolution
Miley Cyrus is the ultimate yo-yo fashionista. She's gone from a squeeky clean Disney tween to an extention-wearing, hot-pant-clad popstar. Then came her sporty, pilates phase before she transformed into an Agyness Deyn-esque grunge fan with an edgy peroxide crop. In fact, it's hard to keep track of the Miley Cyrus style evolution, which is impressive work considering she's only 20.
Miley started her career as a Disney sensation wearing a blonde wig, lashings of pink and lots of sparkles for her role as Hannah Montana. Then she sexed up her image with long dark hair extensions and mini Daisy Dukes as she started belting out hits like Party in the USA. Next, Ms Cyrus found pilates, got engaged to Liam Hemsworth and downloaded Instagram. And what that, Miley the hipster was born.
But the biggest transformation happened when the star cut her long blonde locks into a pixie crop with an undercut. This wasn't just any old hair cut, though, this was an event that was tweeted around the world with Miley giving us a step-by-step guide to the big chop.
The hair cut spawned a whole new Miley who was seen stomping through the town in Dr Marten boots and looking like a mini Aggy. She started revisiting the '80s and '90s thanks to crop tops, Moscino gold belts and punk jewellery - think Gwen Stefani meets Courtney Love - all the while showing off those perfectly toned pilates abs. Well, if you've got it...
For now, Miley is sticking with her hipster-punk rock look, but who knows what is next in the Miley Cyrus style evolution. Check out our favourite MC looks in the gallery above.
