Lake Bell's Fashion Evolution
Lake Bell is fast becoming a regular on our style radar. The New York born actress got her big break on the small screen staring in Boston Legal, film roles quickly followed including a supporting role as Alec Baldwin’s wife in It’s Complicated in 2009. The super talented actress has even written, directed and produced her own film ‘In a World…’ to critical acclaim, winning best screenplay at the Sundance Film festival.
As her career grows Lake’s style has also had an evolution. When she first appeared on the red carpet Bell was a big fan of floral prints and the casual jeans and shirt look; mixing girl next door with boho style.
However after her big break in US drama series Boston Legal, Lake turned up the glamour for her red carpet appearances. In 2009 she stepped out at the Whitney Museum benefit in an attention grabbing red satin gown by Versace, beginning her transformation into one of Hollywood’s most glamorous rising stars.
Recently Lake has become a bit more of a risk taker on the Red Carpet, opting for more than a few bold prints and clashing patterns. She also enjoys mixing up her labels and has been seen in everything on the red carpet from Lavin to Temperley London. The actress is a big fan of New York brand Rag and Bone, taking to the front row at their 2013 fashion week show dressed head to toe in the label.
Maybe Lake’s new more edgy style is something to do with being married to a tattoo artist. Lake met tattooist Scott Campbell in 2011 on the set of her show How to make it in America. The couple were married in June 2013.
With her style constantly evolving and her career only growing Bell is definitely one to watch on the red carpet.
