Kate Hudson's Fashion Evolution
Kate Hudson is the progeny of Hollywood royalty and as such her red carpet appearances are no less than perfection. Following in the footsteps of her mother Goldie Hawn, the blonde beauty hit the big time in 2001 when she scooped a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination for her role in director Cameron Crowe's coming-of-age film Almost Famous - a movie that we continue to refer to for all 1970s style inspiration.
Since her successful debut Kate's carved out a rom-com niche, playing the quirky-sexy heroine in some of the last decade’s biggest chick flicks including How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, You, Me and Dupree and Bride Wars. That's all on top of hooking up with two rockers, her first husband Chris Robinson, the frontman of US band The Black Crowes with whom she has a son and then current fiancé, Muse's Matt Bellamy, the father of her second child.
When she's not in off-duty mummy mode, the A-list star is a fashion week regular, appearing on the front row at Burberry, Gucci and Stella McCartney, the latter of which she counts as a close friend. The actress if often spotted partying with Stella and her bessies Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow in London. As well as beautiful pieces by the Brit designer, Kate's go-to labels for the red carpet include Alexander McQueen, Gucci and Atelier Versace, but she also supports up-and-coming brands like Prabal Gurung.
