Have you every loved a band, Hollywood heartthrob or fashion icon so much that you've considered getting a tattoo to prove your dedication? Several readers of Garage magazine, the style bible from former POP magazine editor-in-chief Dasha Zhukova, have been persuaded to do just that and the latest issue of the magazine features tattoo versions of the supermodels featured in a shoot by Show Studio's Nick Knight.
Knight worked with catwalk stars Cara Delevingne, Rosie Hungtington-Whitley, Georgia May Jagger and Karlie Kloss, creating a series of provocative, nearly-nude photos, which were then turned into tattoo designs by artist Dr. Woo - touted as the coolest ink master in Hollywood. Cara has revealed her image and tattoo from the feature, which sees the pictures of the supermodel clique positioned side by side with their tattoo counterparts.
The shot was also posted by Knight who captioned his work, "My picture of the wonderful Cara Delevingne and the amazing Dr. Woo's tattoo version. See more in the next issue of Garage Magazine and on SHOWstudio. #caradelevingne #drwoo #tattoo #showstudio #phoebeenglish #glasscrown".
While it's pretty shocking that magazine readers would have the current wave of supermodel stars permanently tattooed on their body parts, it's only slightly more controversial than the idea of the celebrities themselves doing the inking. Last year we revealed that Cara, Rita Ora, Cheryl Cole et al had tried their hand at tattooing on New York artist Mr Bang Bang. He always asks his starry clients to have a go on his own skin and has an 'autograph' leg, which includes a peppermint logo drawn by Katy Perry, a muscly mouse with the caption 'swaggy' by Justin Beiber and an umbrella with a R by his first celebrity client Rihanna.
