Kate Bosworth and Beyonce are both Topshop fans
There is no denying that our fashionable friends across the pond in the USA love the British high street. Historically some of our favorite style mavens stateside have made sure to stock up on their well-priced high street hotties while visiting the UK, and then much to their enjoyment Topshop opened their doors to their American fans back in April 2009. Now the rumour mill is in full swing as WWD report that Miss Selfridge, another high street label owned by Sir Philip Green’s retail giant Arcadia is set to make the journey to the US.
Taylor Swift loves the British high street: wearing ASOS, French Connection and Topshop
American songstresses and actresses will no doubt rejoice at the new arrival, which is apparently in talks with American department stores Macy’s as well as Nordstrom, who currently house 15 Topshop boutiques across their countrywide locations. So, who can we expect to be first in line to snap up Miss Selfridge’s collection once it arrives stateside? Kate Bosworth will no doubt get involved, and who knows may even work on a Coachella capsule collection for them too following the success of her Topshop festival collection this summer. Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Beyonce have stepped out in numerous high street hits too, with Ri-Ri wearing multiple snazzy pieces from her River Island collaboration. Taylor recently wore a French Connection dress for her latest music video, while Beyonce wore a Topshop ensemble for Kanye West’s birthday party earlier this month. Here’s hoping these rumours are true and we can expect even more American starlets to showcase their favourite pieces tout suite!
