Let’s be honest, the reason why we love seeing pictures of celebrities on public transport is because it fuels our secret hope that one day we will bunch into them. Hell, if Rihanna can take the tube to one of her gigs there’s every chance we might run into Brad Pitt on the circle line right? RIGHT?
Katie Holmes in particular seems to have become particularly fond of talking the train (or subway as they call it in New York) to work. In fact, ever since she and Tom split Katie has shunned the private jet in favour of public transport. Just this weekend she was spotted with Suri taking a nap, in front of actual strangers, well, if there is one way to say you are like TOTALLY over your divorce it’s getting up close and personal with the general public.
But it’s not just Ri and Katie who are slumming it with the rest of us. In October Jay-Z made commuters days (possibly lives) when he took the subway to a gig in New York. And even the Kardashians have been known to train hop – we know, we didn’t believe it either!
By far our fave though is Madonna who always likes to go incognito with she travels normal class. She was spotted by eagle eyed passengers in NYC wearing dark glasses and a hat, well, she wouldn’t want autograph signing to get in the way of her enjoying her ride would she?
