Each Fashion Week has its unique charms – we love NY for its fresh and sporty vibe, whilst London is famed for its anarchic eccentricities. Milan and Paris on the other hand, have swathes to offer from the opposite pool (besides potentially better weather): beauty, glamour and theatre – in totally different styles. Here’s our guide to what we’re expecting from Milan.
1. Some Summer Street-Style
Unsurprisingly, Milan has been blessed with slightly better weather for their Fashion Week than we Brits - all the better for lapping up the SS14 collections. Where LFW was a sea of chic mannish wool coats and slick roll-neck tops we can vicariously revel in the last shreds of summer via (we hope) typical Italian brights, prints, colour-clashing and some bare legs!

2. A Dolce Army
The Dolce finale is always a feast for the eyes – an army of models stalk back down the catwalk together, fettered in lingerie or in summer, swimwear (of-sorts). We look forward to the runway awash with Dolce’s trademark 50s silhouette corsetry, bra-tops and high-waisters.

3. Prada – Something Bonkers
Prada never fails to pull out all the stops. Mama Miuccia always sets our radars off-kilter – from banana and monkey prints with orange prison overalls, to giant pailette sequin dresses worn with pilot caps – we always await her artistic angles.

4. Italian Fashionistas
From Anna Della Russo and Viviana Volpicello to Giovanna Battaglia – we haven’t seen them yet at LFW or in NY. We eagerly await their costume choices – ever chic and directional.

5. The Big-Guns
Milan is the home of the Glamour-puss: Fendi, Gucci (who showed some fabulous Art Deco prints earlier today), Dolce, Armani, Prada, Cavalli & Pucci to name but a few.
6. The Katie Grand Loves Hogan
THE party to be seen at over MFW is for the Katie Grand Loves Hogan range having presented the collection in Milan today Grazia are fine honing their ensembles for this season's party (the last one was jumping). Expect an awesome guestlist – the campaign stars alone would make for an amazing atmosphere: Cara, Joan Smalls, Frankie Rayder and our current fave – Sam Rollinson.

7. The Pasta at Hotel Principe
In Milan – we eat! Our favourite Hotel Principe di Savoia (a location for Sophia Coppola’s movie Somewhere, no less) does the BEST room service (remember the ice cream scene?). Perfect for a night to recoup between parties.
8. Young Milanese labels
We’ve been wearing MSGM to Fashion weeks for a few seasons and are keeping our eyes peeled on the young Milanese labels that swim alongside the big fish at MFW, with the city’s initiative to focus on new designers.
