A Double Olsen Wedding Means One Thing... Let's Guess The Dress!

13 March 2014 by

The news of the day is that there are TWO Olsen weddings on the horizon. Just two weeks ago it was widely reported that Mary Kate Olsen was engaged to Olivier Sarkozy, and she then flashed a diamond ring on that finger just last week at Paris Fashion Week. Now it is being reported by US Weekly that her little sis Elizabeth Olsen is engaged to actor Boyd Holbrook.

If you thought Mary Kate Olsen's '50s Cartier ring, which featured a large four-carat diamond surrounded by 16 sapphires and gold petals, was exciting, just imagine the wedding. We've already had a clue at how the Olsens would look in bridal gear, as in 2007 they were bridesmaids in flowing maxis at a friend's beach wedding. So what will the girls wear? We play Olsen-themed Bride Wars below...

Mary Kate Olsen: The Alternative bride...

Valentino, Temperley, Elie Saab, Valentino, Valentino, Chanel Couture [Catwalking]

Mary Kate Olsen has a thing for statement couture, as she always has the most flamboyant gown on the Met steps at the Costume Institute Ball. So Mary-Kate the bride is likely to wear heavily embellished gowns, elaborate vintage and dramatic sleeves. If anyone is going to wear a vampy wedding gown, it's Mary-Kate.

Elizabeth Olsen: The prettiest bride in all the land....

Dior, Erdem, Dior, Valentino, Chanel, Elie Saab [Catwalking]

Twenty five year old Elizabeth is likely to wear something pretty, young and girly. The Miu Miu campaign star could well do a 'Lupita at the Oscars' and wear a custom gown by her pal Miuccia Prada.

Ashley Olsen: And the bridesmaid wore...

The Row, Chanel, Erdem [Catwalking]

Ashley Olsen has at least two chances of being a bridesmaid. Luckily for Ashley The Row have plenty of lacey, mid-length numbers which would be perfect for bridesmaid duties. If she'd rather shape things up, she could opt for a pretty Chanel number or a statement Erdem dress.
