Rita Ora's latest campaign for Madonna's Material Girl line has been revealed. Shot in Miami, the Spring 2014 pictures show Rita hanging out in a series of bold prints and body-con looks.
In one photo Rita smoulders in front of the Miami Beach sign - all Marilyn hair and red lips - as she sports a retro monochrome jumpsuit. In another she's perched on the bonnet of a Miami Vice style ride wearing an Aztec-print crop top and pencil skirt. In a third snap she dons a 'PEACE LOVE' statement midi and a more ruffled hairstyle. The pictures basically look like the best holiday snaps of all time.
The brand promises there are even more pictures of Rita hanging out in the city to come, including some taken by the Welcome to Miami sign, Ocean Drive and the Raleigh Hotel pool.
"I don’t think there are any rules in the fashion world," says Rita. "And Material Girl is wonderful way to really express yourself."
Rita met Madonna for the very first time at the 'Sound for Change' concert at Twickenham in June 2013, before being announced as the face Material Girl in later that month.
"Rita Ora is fearless when it comes to fashion and expressing herself," says Madonna. "We love her personality and think she perfectly embodies the spirit of Material Girl."
The singer starred in a London shoot for the Fall 2013 line last year. Showing off the collection of pattern leggings and logo dresses, she posed for pictures outside Buckingham Palace, the London Eye and Piccadilly Circus as well as while travelling by a double decker red bus.
"The campaign was really good fun to shoot," Rita told Grazia at the time. It expressed me as a Material Girl from the perspective of being a 22-year-old from London and being a fan of music."
Material Girl was launched by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes in 2010. The first campaigns starred Kelly Osbourne and Taylor Momsen in leather studded looks with bold pink accents.
Georgia May Jagger was Rita Ora's predecessor starring in a Hollywood campaign. It showed her sipping on pink milkshakes and posing at an in In-N-Out burger as well as roaming the Hollywood hills and hanging out at Rodeo Drive, all while wearing a series of colourful and floaty dresses, trousers and jackets.
The Material Girl Spring 2014 collection will hit Macy’s in the United States, The Bay in Canada and Myer in Australia in March.
