David and Victoria's matching leather outfits [Rex]
If you've been anywhere near Grazia Daily over the past week, you'll realise that Victoria Beckham is selling 600 pieces of her wardrobe on Net a Porter’s outlet site, TheOutnet.com, with proceeds going to the charity mothers2mothers. This has been the perfect excuse to open up her closet, as Victoria has shared with us many of her fashion memories. She's told us the stories behind the outfit she wore on Ali G, her 'Carrie Bradshaw' dress, her Maria Grachvogel catwalk look and the dress she wore to meet Karl Lagerfeld.
When it comes to matchy matchy dressing, Kimye have got nothing on David and Victoria Beckham of the noughties. The invented the 'couple who dresses together, stays together' rule. See the leather suits above. Well it seems like their matchy matchy days are over. VB said to the Mail Online about her Outnet sale: 'It brought back a lot of happy memories, like the dress I wore years ago to the MTV awards, which was especially created for me by Dolce & Gabbana.
'This was when David and I were co-ordinated because that's what we did in those days. We wouldn't do it now, but it was fine at the time. The event was so fun - it was in Los Angeles and I remember getting dressed and how special I felt when I put on the dress.'

How did it make her feel to look through all her old glad rags? ‘Well, I’ve come a long way in fashion!’ Victoria said to Grazia, ‘When I went through the clothes I laughed and I cried. This is a celebration of the past, everything I’ve achieved and the amazing people who have come on that journey with me. It’s a moment to say here’s to the future and let’s laugh at some of the past.’
One of those people is her husband, who Victoria credits with inspiring her to learn more about the cause. ‘David is a huge inspiration, not just because he’s my husband and the most amazing father, but he also does an enormous amount to give back, more than anyone knows,’ Victoria told Grazia's Katherine Ormerod. ‘I wanted to talk to him about my experience as I knew he would understand. You see things differently on the ground. You meet the mothers, grandparents and the fathers. You meet the kids. I learn so much from David, as he does from me.’
