Yesterday Victoria Beckham's e-commerce site went live. In the virtual VB world you can watch videos, see insider images and shop the main line, the Victoria Victoria Beckham diffusion label and the VB Icon collection, a re-issued edit of dresses from previous seasons. To celebrate the launch of the site, this week's cover star Victoria Beckham exclusively reveals to Grazia her five style rules and also dishes on her spring wishlist and favourites from victoriabeckham.com.
When asked what is her look for 2013, the designer answered: ‘For me it’s all about proportion and balance. My objective has always been to create what I considered to be the perfect silhouette.’
‘I wanted to take my aesthetic and find a new way of working it,’ she explains. ‘It’s easier, a little more relaxed.’ Cue silky blouses in ivory, dropped-waist maxis and flat monk-strap shoes and sandals. Yes, you heard us, flats. Victoria dropped the bombshell: ‘Contrary to rumours, you don’t always need to wear heels.’
Want some more VB fashion tips? Well you're in luck as the style icon has shared with Grazia her 5 tips for choosing a love-forever dress below...
Victoria's tips for choosing a love-forever dress
1. Inner corsetry: gives you an hourglass shape
2. Length: demure but still sexy
3. Basket weave fabric: holds its shape but gives you room to breathe
4. Signature zip: opens up down the back
5. A bandeau dress: is super-flattering. The neckline is perfect: not too high and not too low
